Frequently Asked Questions

What IS 'Aromatherapy'?

"Aromatherapy can be defined as the controlled use of essential oils to maintain and promote physical, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing."

How should I prepare for my first appointment?

If you are currently taking any medications, please either take pictures of all of the labels and send them in an email BEFORE your appointment or write down the prescriptions and dosages.  I will need to cross-reference them to make sure that there are no contraindications.

What should I expect from a 60-minute session?

Our first full appointment will be spent getting to know each other and chatting about your current health concerns.  We will complete a full medical history so that I can gather enough information from you in order to create a safe and effective blend for your health concerns.

Do you help treat terminal or chronic illness?

Aromatherapy is a complementary medicine and can help to support you through terminal or chronic illness, but it is not meant to take the place of traditional medical care.

What happens after my appointment?

After our appointment, I will determine the best blend for your concerns or recommend products and create a plan for use.  Aromatherapy is both an art and a science and each blend is created specifically with your physical and mental health in mind.  If I am creating a blend for you I will send you an invoice for the blend and let you know when it is ready to be picked up.

How do Zoom appointments work?

Zoom appointments will take the same format as in-person appointments.  A small shipping fee will be added to the cost of the blend if that is required.

Why do I need to pre-pay for my appointment and blend?

In short?  'No shows'.  As the owner of a small business, 'no shows' significantly impact my business.  Please let me know at least 24 hours before your appointment time if you are unable to attend.  And, since each blend is specifically created for each client, I cannot sell a blend to anyone except the intended client.  Thank you for your understanding!
