Who I Am and What I Do
Although I wear a lot of hats, my greatest passion is helping others.
Whether I'm teaching Body-Positive Yoga, helping a client with a skincare concern, or leading my team with The Body Shop at Home, I love to help people get results ~ whatever that means to them.
I began my education with a B.A. in Psychology from Simon Fraser University and a Certificate of Biblical Studies from William and Catherine Booth University College.
I continued my education by completing my 200-Hour Yoga Teaching Certificate and specializations in Adaptive Yoga, Yoga for 12-Step and Recovery, and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga.
When my life was impacted by multiple car accidents and skin concerns I discovered the amazing world of plant-based medicine. Due to that, I completed a certificate in Integrative Health and Medicine through the University of Minnesota where I pursued an education in Guided Imagery, Mindfulness, Herbal Medicine, and Aromatherapy. It was through this specialization that I came to understand the science and power behind essential oils.
I continued my education and graduated with Honors from Essence of Thyme's Advanced Aromatherapy Practitioner Program.
I am passionate about helping my clients harness the power of essential oils and other plant ingredients to improve their mental and physical health, and I am also able to incorporate my training in the other holistic practices.
My treatments are specifically tailored to the needs of each client to make sure they receive the approach that works best for them. Time and again I have seen the incredible healing power of plant-based medicine.
